So you got a Netflix subscription and you go to this app hoping for a good watch. But with so many options, this streaming platform can sometimes feel like a maze. And though it seems impossible not to find a worthy flick to watch, it is even more possible to end up with lousy ones (even those shows in the Top 10 list).
So I hope I am doing someone a favor with this list of the best shows (imo of course)
on Netflix today. Most of these flicks are not even on Top 10 but they are
hidden gems that are such a waste to miss.
The Last Night at Tremore Beach
Based on: La última noche en Tremore Beach by Mikel Santiago
Starring Javier Rey and Ana Polvorosa
This limited series has no boring moment, literally. Each episode (or should I say each scene) offers suspenseful and mysterious moments, you will have a hard time keeping your eyes off screen. It is also very rare for my husband and I to find one show that we both like. But I can say that we really bonded over this Spanish series.
The Empress Season 1 and 2
Starring Devrim Lingnau and Philip Froissant
Period films that feature royal dynasties in history is always a treat for me. I always find their way of life, customs and beliefs fascinating and this German historical drama did not disappoint (much better than The Crown, I may say). Both Season 1 and 2 of The Empress is truly enchanting and captivating. I am eagerly waiting for Season 3.
Love Village Season 1 and 2
Hosted by Becky and Atsushi Tamura
This is the best reality dating show ever. I personally think that the creators of the show are geniuses because they featured something unique - the oldies looking for love.
I love
Season 1 and just finished Season 2 – both are so entertaining to watch. Seeing
how mature individuals tackle love and relationships will open your mind and
touch your heart.
If My Wife Becomes An Elementary Student

Tsutsumi, Maida Nono
Adapted from a Japanese manga series that is written and illustrated by Yayū Murata.
