Well, Russian doll fulfills your wish. With only eight (8) 30-minute episodes, the series will definitely get you hooked and guessing but thankfully will not make you wait very long for the ending.
Beautiful and talented actors.
Seeing
beautiful people on screen is one of the secrets of cinema’s lasting
success. Definitely, Russian Doll did
not disappoint as Natasha Lyonne as Nadia looks gorgeous and Charlie Barnett as
Alan is stunning. Apart from their pleasing looks, the whole cast can also
boast of superb acting skills.
Hilariously Entertaining.
It is not very common to come across a show with a profound theme yet can successfully keep you laughing so much. On closer scrutiny, Russian Doll is actually a sad and tragic story yet the storyline will not subject the viewer to too much drama or conflict. For the most part, the TV series is hilarious and entertaining but also deep and bizarre.
Twisted ending.
Like the whole series, the ending is a bit confusing and weird. Still, it may serve as a challenge for viewers to do their own interpretation and reflection about the show’s conclusion.
Cool theme song and soundtrack.
The soundtrack is as cool as it gets starting with its main theme song, “Gotta Get Up” by Harry Nilsson that has an upbeat tune and catchy lyrics. Other Russian Doll music you may also like the following:
