It is 8 days before Christmas...

But if Christmas is a high time for shoppers, it is likewise the season for shoplifters. With sales clerks busy attending to customers and arranging displays, shoplifters get the best opportunity to do their moves. In less than a month, I think I have learned almost all the techniques that robbers use to steal items but I never caught one. Even with extra security guards roaming around and there is even a customer police assistance center (courtesy of PNP), items are still being stolen and I never heard of anyone getting caught. 

It is disappointing to realize that the rise of crime during this season is due to the pressure of new clothes, new shoes, delicious food. They say crime rate is the highest during Christmas –a time when we are supposed to remember Christ who was born in a manger and grew up in poverty. How ironic!
