Well, let the countdown begin...
It’s 9 days to go before Christmas!
I tend to hate countdowns because I know that the number to count (no matter how big that number) will always come down to one (1) then zero (0). It may sound weird but I always feel a pang of sadness when the day I have been waiting for arrives.
A weird combination of sadness and gladness actually. Maybe because the excitement caused by the long wait is finally over and somehow, the big event everybody is anticipating starts to feel just like an ordinary day. You would sometimes wonder what the big fuss was about anyway. Then for Christmas, once the day arrives, you are greeted with a realization that you have to wait one whole year for it again.
Maybe the waiting is actually more beautiful than the anticipated moment...
